Kids Club

Wesley UMC Kids Club is an afterschool program located at Wesley United Methodist Church. It was started with the idea of providing a safe fun learning environment for kids from grades AK - 5th grade.

The program is open on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:15 September thru May. We follow the school schedule. If School is canceled, not in session, or has an early out we do not meet.

The children are able to ride the school bus that drops off at the Library as Wesley is located right next door.

Our leaders are Erin Stueck and Cathie Beatty who both have grown up in this church and are committed to working with children. Our program is 100% volunteer operated and all volunteers have a background check to comply with our Safe Sanctuary rules so that children are never alone with any adult or other children.

While the kids are here they will have snacks, a non-denominational bible lesson, games, and music along with other activities while focusing on developing a welcoming and friendly place to learn about Jesus and making friends.

This years curriculum is using the Bible Detective Case book that features 30 true Bible stories turned into mini-mystery cases (16 from the Old Testament and 14 from the New Testament, spanning from Creation to the Empty Tomb). Written by a pastor with 30 years of experience teaching young children. This fun an exciting way for kids to learn.

We also send out information about our program through the school folders and kids can join at any time during the year.

You are required to fill out the parent information sheet that allows us to care for your child and will be added to our text message group so you can stay informed of all activities or changes.

Once a month on the 2nd Sunday we have our Youth Sunday. On alternating months the kids who attend kids club are invited, along with their parents and family members to attend. The kids will sing, perform a skit, or enjoy our puppet ministry that they will learn during their time with us.
