Welcome Committee
The Welcome Committee’s primary emphasis to find ways to make people feel welcome in our church.
We encourage people to sign up and bring snacks/drinks to the fellowship time between services and invite people to join us there.
We choose a community group each year and recognize them during church and fellowship time – last year we recognized the work of the Palace Theater Volunteers as enhancing our community year-round - and the year before, we recognized the City and County Road Crews work keeping the roads clear during that awful winter.
We also host the fellowship time for the high school graduates in the spring each year.
We are in the process of putting together a “welcome” packet to give to newcomers – that will include a “Chip Clip” along with information about our church activities.
We have been part of the “neighborhood” invitations – as we placed door knob hangers throughout the nearby area, inviting people to join us for the Easter events.
