Love Committee
The Love Committee chooses and carries out activities that show love to
the members of Wesley Church. During the months of February
(Valentine's Day), April (Easter), October(Halloween), and December
(Christmas), members of the committee visit care center residents and
home-bound members and present each with a small remembrance.
Mothers and Fathers are remembered on "their day" with a gift to honor
them. Children and youth are given some pencils and a book mark to
celebrate going back to school.High School seniors are honored with a
gift upon their graduation.
May Day is celebrated with delivering May baskets to members and friends
in a two-block radius of the Church.
One of the committee members is responsible for keeping in touch with
parents of children from birth to age three by sending letters every
three months containing ideas of scripture, prayers, and other things to
think about as their child/children grow.
This group is also responsible for taking a tape or CD of each Sunday's
worship service to those who wish to receive it.
